Nina Petronzio

Den of Light; West Holly Wood; California 2009

Out of all the artist we got to pick from I loved Nina Peteronzio  style and design choices. Nina has her own high- end furniture line called Plush Home. She started the business off in 2003 and has been going strong ever since. She first thought about having her own furniture line in 2002, but sadly she struggled to find the high-end, luxurious furniture that could be custom made. Nina started off being in a cast for a production when she was eleven called "Jo."  Peteronzio then got the honor to design furniture for all different types of movies like, Spider-man 2, Mission: Impossible 2 and Nip/tuck. If i would have to describe Nina's style in a few worlds i would have to say elegant, sheak and classy.Nina showed off her work at the film festival  circuit of 'Vincent and Me." Another project she has done was she got the chance to go to Italy where she learned how to sculpt and she started making furniture out of clay. The last project she got to do was being able to get called up by professional film makers and help desing sets on the movies. Her work is just so well done I love it. In most of her designs she adds nice soft muted colors to make the space elegant and then she adds huge pops of color. Also she adds them and different levels so your eye travels all over the room. She knows how to use the different textures that you would look at and think o, that wont look good but she makes it look like it belongs together.

Hey this is Kim's blog:) I go to Victor Senior High School, one of my favorite classes to take is Functional art and also Drawing and Painting. When i graduate Victor i hope to go to college and maybe even become a Interior designer. I would love to design my own house someday, functional art really inspires me to do something with my artistic ablilty.

Almost all the time I love to watch HGTV. It's one of my favorite channels to watch because one of my faviorte desingers is Candus Olson is on it. It's interesting to  watch Candus come up with many ways that the home owners like. Also in general I love Co Co Chanel, the contrast of  black and white color scheme goes with almost anything and with a little pattern incorperated in it.

My goal for this blog is for people to see how far I have come over time and to also get a sense of the way i desing  things. In my opinion  its a great way to display everything you know and like about art in one web page that you can design top to bottom. I hope people take time to look at my blog and i hope they enjoy!
